The Last Supper
It’s official! We have moved into our new Pennsylvania home and are settling in nicely. The past week has been a barrage of über-snacks and fast food as we put this house together, but each time I get ready to stuff another waffle fry into my ever-growing-fatter-mouth, I think about the amazing meal my beautiful friend and neighbor prepared for us the night before we left.
What’s not to love? King Crab with corn and baby reds, teriyaki filet, grilled asparagus with butterflied shrimp, warm crusty bread with herb butter, peach sangria … my mouth is watering just thinking about it. It was perfect. Everything we love all piled onto one big table.
“Good food. Good wine. Good friends.” ( I would like to add “Good bread.”)
May sound cliché, but I’m pretty sure it is the true secret to happiness.
Thank you, Bahar. You are an incredible woman. An incredible cook. An incredible friend.

Ann – this is the first time I’ve seen your page… and love the dedication! I’m sure you speak of Mrs. Douglas….and she was a hoot!! Pennsylvania????? nice! So it won’t take to long to come for a visit!!!!! Take care!
How did you contain the urge to dig in to all of that amazing food long enough to take photos? I could go for a glass of that sangria and a hunk of bread and herb butter for breakfast – that covers all of the recommended food groups doesn’t it?
You are so welcome! I loved cooking it for you because I knew you would enjoy eating as much as I did! It was a great night that I will always remember. And I am so glad u loved it!
My mouth is watering
Great neighbors, you will be sorely missed.
